Logistics

Restructuring the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Department of Defense (DoD) transportation and distribution process for emergency relief supplies and medical aid in response to domestic disasters and emergencies.  Resulting in a 72-hr reduction in response time and savings of $1.5M/response.

Contingency Operations

Developing Continuity of Operations plans, infrastructure,equipment and procedures for assured communications and Command and Control for North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Command and U.S. Northern Command

Space Operations

Leading the initiative to realign and develop new/consolidated ground-based satellite communication stations for new and legacy satellite systems.  Resulting in more robust continuity of operations, reduced communication failures, improved data integrity, and reduction in operating costs.

Plans and Programs

Planning and managing the conversion of a remote radar installation in Alaska for fielding a new phased-array system and a new operational organization.  This involved developing a comprehensive project management timeline, analyzing work requirements and developing a manpower template, and obtaining all necessary funding.  Project was completed three months early and under budget.

Aircraft Maintenance and Munitions

Analyzing the maintenance processes and inspection schedules for aging USAF bomber aircraft.  Taking the results of those analyses and developing operational risk management criteria for more effective maintenance processes.  Resulting in a reduction of the defect rate by 65%.

Environmental Management

Analyzing the industrial processes of an aerospace industry, and developing new procedures to reduce/eliminate VOC emissions.  Developing comprehensive risk management plans and emergency response procedures for assured control and management of hazardous materials.
