Book Layout and Design

Creation of book layout on the computer, taking all text and photos and building each chapter, page by page. Dozens of rounds of revisions and content changes, extensive proofing, working with the author, printer and editors. The book, The Performing Set, won the Golden Pen award by the USITT (U.S. Institute of Theatre Technology), given annually to the author of an outstanding, major, recent publication judged to be significant in the field of design and production for the performing arts.

Corporate Presentations

Hired by Peterbilt Motors Company since 1999 for the company’s annual Dealer Meeting, creating presentations and extensive photo retouching work for executive presentations to dealers from across the U.S. Working with other designers, photographers, company general manager and chief engineers to interpret content and create visuals to be presented to the audience of dealers relaying information about the company, marketing, manufacturing plant information and truck engineering updates on a yearly basis.

Training CDs

Creation of all art, visual backgrounds, and design interface for three training CD’s, in the areas of diamond, gold and shoe sales. Instructional CD’s for the training of new personnel for sales in each of these departments, with an online exam after training is completed. Worked with training department in creating all graphics for content provided. Worked with multimedia team providing all elements to be used for creation of the interactive training material.

Paper Design

Creation of a line of printed laser paper designs. Given categories to create illustrations to be printed on paper, sold in office supply chain. Generated over 300 designs in themes ranging from party, Fourth of July, golf, weddings, animals and more. Several designs were chosen, produced and distributed for sale at Office Max stores. 

Publications

Print production of a monthly community magazine in Cobb County GA titled the East Cobber. Receive word documents, articles, photos, ads for each issue, input into InDesign layout of the issue and prepare it for printing output. Some ad creation, photo retouching, and some editing.
